The State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE) is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) program that supports rigorous research on health reform issues, especially as they relate to the state implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
With the passage of ACA, the impact of national reform on the states, particularly with respect to implementation, is a critical issue. SHARE-sponsored research has and will continue to provide timely guidance about implementation as states consider their unique responsibilities in executing ACA.
SHARE operates out of the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC), an RWJF-funded research center in the Division of Health Policy and Management, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota.
The SHARE staff, led by principal investigator Lynn Blewett, consists of a unique combination of experienced professionals in health care access research, survey design and state health policy.
The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) contributed to the development and organization of the evaluation framework that underlies the program, providing expert advice on the development of an evaluation framework designed to systematically evaluate health care reform. In addition, the TAG provided feedback on the award structure, topic focus and scope of reform activities.
The 2012 Proposal Advisory Group (PAG) is composed of broad set of experts in state health policy and health services research who will. PAG members will assess the merits of each proposal submitted under SHARE's 2012 call for proposals (CFP) based on program criteria set out in the CFP; discuss the comparative merits across all applicants; and provide funding recommendations to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The 2007 Proposal Advisory Group (PAG) developed criteria, review, and rate responses to the SHARE Call for Proposals. The PAG assisted with the final formulation of grant criteria and provided input on grant proposals. This included reviewing and rating grant applications and making final funding recommendations to the Foundation.
The State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC) is a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and a part of the Health Policy and Management Division of the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.
